Word of mouth is still the largest source of new clients — one family telling the next, a bathroom seen at a neighbor's house, a name passed along. It is the slowest way to grow a company and the only one that means anything.

Expertile is built around quality rather than volume, and that choice is the reason Andres is still at the front of operations rather than behind a desk. He deals with clients directly, leads the projects himself, and works with an in-house crew of installers instead of subcontracting the work to whoever is available that week.

In recent years Expertile became Schluter Systems certified, which lets the crew install the most effective waterproofing systems in the trade. In a bathroom, waterproofing is the part nobody ever sees and the part that decides whether the work is still sound in twenty years.
